Johnny English Reborn tells the story of a London Mi7 secret agent named Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson). Narrated English was in Tibet to study martial arts after the incident of a mission that failed in Mozambique. But English was then called again to work by his new boss, "Pegasus" (Gill and Anderson). English was assigned to stop a plot to assassinate the Chinese prime minister during a scheduled discussion session with the British prime minister. Johnny English also met with his friend and former colleague, agent Simon Ambrose (Dominic West), as well as inventor Mi7, Patch Quartermain (McNinnerny Team). He also assigned a junior agent, tucker (daniel kaluuya), to accompany him.
In Macau, an English informant was killed at a casino, but Johnny English found a poker piece held by the informant, complete with an address belonging to former CIA agent, Fisher (Richard Schiff) in Hong Kong. English then finds fisher in his apartment and learns that fisher has one of three metal keys that can be used to open a secret weapon to kill, belonging to the secret killer organization, vortex. Fisher was then killed by one of the killers disguised as a cleaner, but the Englishman managed to escape and seized the metal key. Unfortunately, on the way to London, the metal key was stolen from Johnny English by another instructor who disguised himself as a flight attendant.
Kate Sumner (Rosamund Pike), a psychologist at MI7 opened a session with English to recall the incident of the Mission in Mozambique, and to remember the second member of Vortex, Karlenko (Mark Ivanir), a Russian agent. A game of golf was made for Karlenko and English to meet, where English must extract information about the vortex. The suspicious Karlenko then planned to kill English, but was seriously injured before by the killer disguised as a cleaner. Before he died, Karlenko then leaked information that the last member of Vortex was one of the agents in MI7.
English who doesn't know that the traitor in Mi7 is Ambrose, and English entrusts the metal key he has on Ambrose. But with Kate, English soon learned that Ambrose was a traitor and wanted to give medicine to Pegasus which would later control Pegasus before he died. English and Kate arrived on time to save everyone, until the English who took the medicine and had to fight the orders from Ambrose and death in front of the eyes.
